Garage Sale's

So I have been experimenting lately with new ways to earn income from ebay. I had always heard Garage Sale finds were a great way to make a nice part time income and I am finding this to be true despite the slow summer months on ebay. Several finds have brought in a lot more than I paid and have helped pay for vacation. I find myself eagerly looking forward to the weekend for garage sales. What is the best thing you have ever purchased at a garage sale and flipped on ebay? Follow my blog and follow my ebay success!

If you or someone you know is looking for deals...please keep checking back...in addition to my CUSTOM BOUTIQUE items, I will be listing my childrens outgrown fall clothing!

Vera Bradley Sale!

Vera Bradley is having a great sale this week on Back Packs and Messenger Bags...select patterns only!
The sale runs today, Monday, July 13th through Wednesday, July 15th!
I had told my daughter that "maybe" we would find a good deal on a Vera Bradley bag for school this year and this really is a good deal. We purchased the Messenger Bag for $40..it was normally $84 and the Large Backpacks are also $40...normally $92...awesome deals if you are looking for back to school bags. At that price I couldn't resist getting her one. Her older cousin has Vera Bradley bags so she has shown interest as well now...lol. The patterns that are on sale are: Frankly Scarlet, Meditteranean White, Night Owl, Pinwheel Pink, Daisy Daisy, Mod Floral Blue, Riviera Blue. I found a matching lunch bag for $21. I know...but the lunch bag and messenger bag together with shipping was still less than the original retail on the messenger bag alone. Follow my current auctions below...I am planning to re-sell her Gap backpack and matching lunch bag soon to help pay for the new purchases! Re-selling my children's outgrown items has been a great way to earn on ebay over the years for me!

There is also a 25% off sale...click on the link to the left side of my blog and scroll down a little bit to learn more about that sale.

Ebay....

Okay, a new feature I want to include in my blog is my ebay. I know it doesn't have anything to do with saving money. But for me, it's a great way to make money! As I have said before...I don't make a tremendous amount of money on ebay but I have done well enough over the years and you get out of it what you put into it. Meaning...at times, I have made over $1000 a month on ebay but I was working very hard at it. Listing a lot, sewing a lot and finding as much as I could to sell. Then there are those months...we all have them...end of the school year picnics, birthdays, just all around hectic times. During these busy times I am not always able to list as much and may only earn a $100 or $200 on those months...if anything at all.

I make children's Custom Boutique Applique clothing. And if this is a category you follow on ebay, you know there is money to be made doing this. For the past 8 years I have very much enjoyed making children's clothing and selling it on ebay. My favorite thing to make is the applique overalls, jeans and shirts. I love to make things for the holidays. Fall and Christmas are my busiest times of the year....it actually starts in July or August for me and runs through Christmas. So I will be very busy over the next 6 months with sewing and ebay. I will keep you posted on my blog of my progress and sales.

Here are a few current auctions I have listed...if you wanted to follow and see how they do.
